Yeah, that’s right. Tomorrow I leave for Chicago, and I’m going crazy from excitement. It’s been six months coming, I almost can’t believe this day has arrived. Back in November, it seemed half a lifetime away.
As I told you earlier, I am going to be attending Ebertfest with my friends. The festival doesn’t start until Wednesday, but until then I will be seeing Chicago with Sarah.
The highlight of the festival, which is the appearance of Alan Rickman, happens next Thursday. I probably won’t have the guts to actually stand up in front of the audience to ask him something, but if you have any (proper) suggestions on what I could ask him, post a comment.
If you’re curious about the movies we’ll be seeing check out the festival schedule. We don’t yet know if Roger Ebert will be attending — he may not due to his recent illness — but we’re hopeful.
Edit: I just found this article, stating that Ebert will in fact attend, but will leave interviews of the guests to someone else. Great news!
I will of course post a full update when I get back. Reviews, photos, gossip, and more. Stay tuned, and take it easy.

Is it just me, or is the movies line-up a little lame? I know, Rickman, but still…
Listening to Herzog might be fun too, if you can keep a straight face. Which ones are you planning on seeing?
I think the schedule is fine, mostly. Sure, there are some I don’t particularly want to see and some I’ve already seen, but the purpose of the festival is for Ebert to get people to see movies they might have missed. I like that there are documentaries in there too.
We have festival passes, so we’re gonna see all of them.
Oh, wow. Good luck with La Dolce Vita.
