Alfred Hitchcock. The Master of Suspense. Hitch. That little British guy who made so many classic movies.
I’ve loved watching Hitchcock’s work ever since I first really started getting into movies. Most of them are very good, all of them are worth your while. Even if a certain movie doesn’t appeal to you, there’s bound to be something brilliant in every single one.
So, I’ve decided to make Hitchcock the object of my new list — the Hitchcount. To compile the list, I went to IMDb and checked his filmography. I removed the TV series, and the stuff where he was uncredited or the work was unfinished. What’s left is an excellent list of no less than 58 titles.
I also did a check to see how many of these I had already seen, and I was surprised to learn that count came to 23. However, in order to keep this list interesting, I’ve decided to revisit every single one of them. With a few exceptions, I’ve only seen these movies once, and they do warrant a second viewing.
So, those crossed out in grey are those I’ve covered on this site. The ones in grey text (but not crossed out) are those I’ve seen before, but intend to revisit.

So you’ve already seen lots of them, apparently. I’ve seen 8 you haven’t seen and they all have classic Hitchcock moments. The overhead dress shot in Topaz may even be my favourite Hitchcock moment ever (though I couldn’t really get into the movie, to be honest). Of his British period I recommend Blackmail and Secret Agent.

When I first saw “Hitchcount” at the top of the page, I wondered why Hanna felt the need to see any mediocre Will Smith movie more than once.
OK. I didn’t really think that.
